Getting ready for fall

With our brief hours on SL together, Tel and I have been doing up the sim ready for a more autumn feel. The days are getting colder, nights shorter and RL is really not going my way at the moment in many areas. The only thing I can do is enjoy what I have in SL to help me get through the days.

Of course, Tel gets the house and the rest of the sim and I get the garden. I've forgotten how much fun it was working on setting up an area. Last time I did that was in the store but decorating a store and decorating a place to live are two different things. The store is still going well but seems most of the items are being bought on MP instead of in the store. All the money I make goes towards store rent but I'm wondering whether or not it's worth getting rid and using the money for the homestead. There's also the dilemma of I don't know if people are testing the poses in the store and then buying on MP. *Shrugs* who knows.

Anyway. More pics of the sim when it's fully finished. Though I do like messing around with shadows around the time.

In other news! A.I.F pets who made the lil kittehs and the ebil pup that runs around our garden now do huskys! They look so cute! D:

I've also applied for this http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Casting-Call-Apply-to-Star-in-a-New-Second-Life-Video/ba-p/1090165 Don't know how likely I would get chosen. I'm not some fancy pants store/dj/business man/machinima master type fellow and I doubt they wanna spend loads of money flying me across the sea to be a part of it. But you never know if you don't enter.

Buuuuuh!

Where have I been all this time? God knows. There was a post that happened a couple of days ago but was quickly taken down as it was a post that was made in one of those "fuck the world" moments in my life and was never meant to be published. Stupidly, when I did come to delete it I accidently pressed "publish all".

But this is a proper post...if I get it finished. I will get it finished.

I can only really get on SL in the late evening now when all my flatmates are in bed. This is due to the fact that I need to have the computer actually plugged into the router so I can actually log into SL. The signal from the very crap router is so weak that even though it's sat outside my room it is still unable to ping to the server. *rolls eyes* This shouldn't be forever though as we'll be getting a new on soon.

When I do get on SL 90% of the time is to pretty much be with Tel. We've been together 10 months now and married for 3 of them and still as strong as ever. I feel pretty lucky to have found someone I can just click with so well. Evenings we spend going to CI, exploring the grid or watching films in the cinema I built for us. It been a great addition to the homestead when we're both too tired or can't be bothered to find something new to do.

When Tel isn't online I'm looking after the store and tending to the Meeroos. I let my first two meeroos Kerry and Imogen have another little baby to keep Kerry company on the homestead. I called him Brendan and he happily plays around with his daddy in the little home Tel got me. Kerry is too old to have babies now so am tempted to buy him the honey...thing which means he doesn't have to eat berries anymore and becomes a Meepet instead.

I'll leave with some pictures from the month..Will try and update more but really..not a lot is going on. Just loving my SL :)

Tel and I ready for another 80's night at CI dressed as little ebil Cthulhus. Even got a video of it.

Little baby Brendon :>

A group of meeroos I saw while searching around for interesting breeds.

I go wide screen now as I have a brand new monitor! Wee! Posing at Ashe's place.

Ready to watch Jurassic Park

Messing about on this pretty random sim that have toys and girl crying while she pooped blocks.

Kitty Cuddles and other rambles

I *VERY* rarely do the neko thing for a couple of reasons. 1) It's very popular and I'm generally one of those people who hate following the crowd. And 2) An ex boyfriend seemed to have a "thing" for nekos which use to send a shiver down my spine. But seeing that I've been with my wonderful husband for 9 months now I think I can quite confidently say I'm over that along with a few other things that use to haunt me from past relationships.

So why neko today? I can think of 3 reasons.
1) I'm pretty ill with cold at the moment. The majority of my day has been spent sleeping and eating....pretty much like a cat.
2) I wanted to be pretty! Scratch that..I'm already pretty...I wanted to be EXTRA pretty!
3) Tel and I like to match and with a cold comes a little self indulgence. And what better self indulgence then having a sexy butch alley cat by your side. Tel does good neko, along with many of his other looks.

I think this is one of the reasons Tel and I get along so well. We can't just stick with one look. It'll be casual smart one minute and latex thongs the next. Second Life is too vastly creative to stick to one look.

I saw a link to some Second Life recorded porn today. You can try your best to make it look like real pornography (which is lulz enough) but I'm still just gonna see some animated pixels and think of some over weight chubbs snorting down their microphones. :|...Sooo hawt.

Anyway..I ramble..I think it's the cold and the extra strong medication I forked out for. Ho-hum. Better have another nap :3

Graduation.

Well, I'm fully graduated from University now. Yes I'm the dopey one in the middle trying to look intelligent. lol. The day was sort of...odd for me. It was hard to explain. After some thinking about it I came up with a couple of conclusions on why it felt strange.

1) When I see people graduate on a scale of this grandeur it's always for something academical. Like science or law. Filled with nervous and tense exams and long papers. I spent 5 weeks on a animation about a cat and a magpie. I kinda felt like..I've haven't done anything to deserve this.

2) Having to look after BOTH of my parents (who have been divorced for well over 15 years) especially my Dad who you could tell would rather be at home watching Star Trek.

The number one reason being the most. I'm not using this as an emo trip and go "Ooh woest me, I didn't do anything" and it's not me trying to be modest or humble. I've been told over and over again that I worked hard and that I should be proud and I am. I had a really tough year in my 3rd year with a lot of crawling under my covers and wishing it would all go away. Real life was hitting my harder then it ever had before and the split with my partner didn't make it anymore easier. Yes...with all the stuff I was going through I did work bloody hard...but I still don't feel I deserved the robes. It just felt weird to me.

On another note I was suprised that Tel had actually thrown me a last minute graduation party at CI. He mentioned a "suprise" to me the night before but didn't think much of it. I had been feeling rubbish due to cut hours at work and feeling they we trying to push me out. Tel really lifted my spirits and, of course, I cried like a little nancy girl until I laughed. It's just another reason on the long line of reasons on why I love him so much. I didn't take many pictures but here is a couple.

Sort of ramberling post

My internet is *somewhat* working in the new place. For some reason it doesn't like certain pages and applications like hotmail, and blogger and, what a surprise, Second Life. Lucky for me I haven't crashed in SL yet because it does take me a good few tries till it actually decides to connect the server and log me in.  Mustn't grumble though as I'm lucky enough to have the best connection in the whole flat, being that I'm only a couple of meters away from the router.

I'm updating the *Dead Chuffed* store more and more but plan to keep all updates to the *Dead Chuffed* blog. So if you're interested what sort of poses and face make-up is available please check out the blog. Or just go to the store. I'll be holding a proper event soon which will hopefully happen next weekend *fingers crossed*

A few nights ago Tel and I checked out Franzi's amazing build as he had finally finished a Gor sim he had been commissioned to build. We didn't have much time and , of course, the place is insanly big. The owner was kind enough to let us look around OOC which isn't usually allowed. That's the kinda treatment you get when you're in with "Franz the Great". :P

It was wonderful to see lots of little parts (and some big parts) of Tidra being brought back to life. Gor was only a small part of my SLife but it introduced me to some hella nice people, good friends and, of course, my beloved husband. It's good to see that others can now enjoy Franzi's great work as Tidra was unable to live long enough for it to be enjoyed by others as much as it was by us.

In other news my meeroos Kerry and Imogen had their first little baby (D'aaww). I decided to keep her and call her Mochi. I'm going to move Kerry back to the homestead and let Imogen and Mochi live in the store next to the meeroo pose vendor. I think it's for the best that I don't allow anymore meeroos into the world but  I know that Endy is tempted to do some breeding...with his meeroos that is lol!

Imogen telling her baby it's ok to come out :3...ok maybe not but still looks damn cute.

Kerry is normal size and Imogen is teacup size so Mochi is toy size. She's already have the size of Imogen..how did she come out? :|

No shit, I found them like this when I logged on the next day. Too damn cute!
